Rooted in the Ahuntsic neighborhood since 2011, Le Brûloir welcomes its customers in its bright space located at 318 Fleury West. Meanwhile, just across the street, the burgundy Diedrich roaster warms up the cozy lab. Coffee bags from the best producers line up, alongside cupping bowls and stacks of notes. Svetozare and Vincent roast with the utmost care, always striving to produce the best flavor profiles. Driven by a desire to honor the work of coffee producers , the pursuit of quality and adherence to production steps are part of our daily ambitions.
Our Vision
After our first visit to meet with a coffee producer in Honduras in 2017, it was clear we would push this aspect of our expertise!
Meeting producers and their families, learning about their techniques and methods, and discovering the flavor profiles of their coffees.
All of this led us to better understand, better select, and sometimes even collaborate with producers on their farms. A vision for the future of the company was born from these encounters. Buy less, but buy better. Prioritize these rich relationships. Coffee is an exquisite product whose quality lies in the hands of the actors in its production chain, starting with the producer! The best thing we can do is to consolidate this chain around sustainable and responsible relationships. You will find more and more coffees from these relationships on our shelves. Whether offered as a single origin or integrated into our blends, we aspire to have all our coffees come from this approach in a few years. For us, the best coffee is always that of a coffee farmer with whom we have forged bonds, having walked the soil of their land together.
